Docutrix changelog: Q1 2026

What shipped in Q1: Google Drive integration, the Finance Context mode, improved multi-column PDF rendering, and faster indexing times.

Here's a summary of everything that shipped in Q1 2026. We're publishing this as a public changelog so customers can track what's changed and what's coming.

New features

### Google Drive integration (Business & Enterprise)

You can now connect Google Drive folders or shared drives directly to Docutrix. Documents sync automatically — when a file changes in Drive, the index updates within 15 minutes.

Supports: Google Docs (exported as PDF), Sheets (exported as PDF), Slides (exported as PDF), and uploaded PDFs and Word files.

Google Drive permissions are respected — if a user doesn't have access to a file in Drive, they won't be able to query it in Docutrix.

### Finance Context mode (Business & Enterprise)

The Finance Industry Context is now available. It improves answer accuracy for:

  • Financial statements (IFRS and GAAP)
  • Regulatory filings (10-K, 10-Q, annual reports)
  • Investment documents (pitch decks, term sheets, investment memos)
  • Credit agreements and facility documents

To enable it, go to Settings → Industry Context → Finance.

### Improved multi-column PDF rendering

We rewrote our PDF parsing pipeline to handle multi-column layouts, complex tables, and footnotes more reliably. This affects legal documents, financial reports, and academic papers most significantly.

If you have documents that previously produced garbled answers — particularly documents with complex formatting — try re-indexing them. The new parser should improve accuracy significantly.

Performance improvements

**Indexing speed**: Average indexing time for a 50-page PDF is now under 90 seconds, down from ~4 minutes in Q4 2025.

**Query latency**: Median query latency is now 1.2 seconds, down from 1.8 seconds. P95 latency is 2.8 seconds.

Bug fixes

  • Fixed an issue where page numbers in citations were off by one for documents with cover pages
  • Fixed a rendering issue in the admin panel affecting Safari 17
  • Fixed a race condition in the SharePoint sync that could cause documents to appear as indexed before they were fully processed

Coming in Q2

  • Engineering Context mode (in beta with selected customers)
  • Conversation sharing (share a cited answer thread with a colleague)
  • Document version history (see previous versions of indexed documents)
  • SCIM user provisioning for Enterprise plans

As always, feedback is welcome at hello@docutrix.com.
